To establish a time and materials contract with two (2) qualified Class A Contractors, as a Primary and Secondary, to provide on call, as needed General Contracting Services on various facilities within the Northern Virginia District. Period of Contract: From date of Award for a period of one (1) year (Renewable) All inquiries for information must be submitted via email to: Jason Bailey at Jason.Bailey@vdot.virginia.gov. Questions should be received by close of business no later than 5 days prior to bid closing date. The Contractor shall furnish general contracting services on an on-call, as needed basis, on various facilities owned and operated by VDOT, Northern Virginia District. The Contractor shall provide labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, vehicles, tools, materials, supplies, and incidentals as necessary to perform these services. General Contracting work shall include but is not limited to, carpentry work, plastering, masonry work, gutter cleaning and repair, roofing repair/replacement, painting, acoustical ceiling, tile work, flooring, to include vinyl composition tile (VCT), linoleum and carpet, hardwood, cement finishing and gypsum board installation in accordance with the specifications and terms and conditions contained herein. The purchasing agency reserves the right to cancel and terminate any resulting contract, in part or in whole, without penalty, upon 60 days written notice to the contractor. In the event the initial contract period is for more than 12 months, the resulting contract may be terminated by either party, without penalty, after the initial 12 months of the contract period upon 60 days written notice to the other party. Any contract cancellation notice shall not relieve the contractor of the obligation to deliver and/or perform on all outstanding orders issued prior to the effective date of cancellation.
