Bids are requested for C.H. 150 Eastern Road Bridge No. 15 Replacement in Medina County as detailed in the Bid Documents. Said improvement will involve the removal of the existing 17.8' concrete slab bridge and installation of a new 18' x 8' 4-sided box culvert including premium bedding & backfill, concrete footers & wingwalls, ditching ,ditch enclosures, catch basins, guardrail, asphalt pavement and general excavation involving ditch realignment & fine grading in preparation of seeding and incorporating stipulated traffic control in accordance with the specifications and accompanying construction drawings. The Engineer's estimate is $211,045.00. No contract shall be awarded at a price more than ten percent in excess of the Engineer's estimate. Work shall be completed no later than August 6, 2021. Each bidder shall be required to file a bid guaranty with the bid in the form of either: (1) a Bid/ Performance Bond in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid; or (2) a certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, conditioned that the bidder shall, if his bid is accepted, execute a contract in conformity with the bid, plans, details, specifications and bills of material. A letter of credit shall be revocable only at the option of the County. The bid will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. The Medina County Board of Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids.
