Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 194-unit multi-residential development; restaurant; 15,000-square-foot retail development; for site work for a 90-space sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

As of February 8, 2021, a developer has been selected, however negotiations have not been finalized. The owner states that construction is anticipated to begin in the fall of 2023. Selected developer plans include 194 apartments and 15,000 sqft of ground floor retails which will include a food court, brewery/restaurant and café with public space and 90 parking spaces. Closed solicitation is included below for reference. ................. 2021 Bond - Park Infrastructure Development on the Former I-195 land $400 Million bonds will apprear on the ballot as seven questions: Question 2, would allow for the borrowing of $74 million for environmental and recreation projects including: $4,000,000 for park infrastructure development on the former I-195 land in Providence. The nearly 7-acre park spans both sides of the Providence River and is connected by a pedestrian bridge that opened in 2019. Funds will be used to construct park infrastructure to enhance utilities, support park operations and programming, and enable food and beverage service. Through this Request for Proposal, the I-195 Redevelopment District Commission, is seeking development proposals for Parcel 2 of the Providence Innovation and Design District. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
