The Nashville MTA is not liable for any costs incurred by prospective Bidders in the preparation of submitting a Bid in response to this Bid, in presentation of the Bid or any other activities related to responding to this Bid. Nashville MTA will not accept Bids or award any contract to any person, firm or corporation that is in arrears or is in default to Nashville MTA upon any debt or contract, has defaulted on surety or other obligation or has failed to perform faithfully any previous contract for Nashville MTA. Nashville MTA reserves the right to request sub-contractor changes to any contract. WeGo Public Transit (Nashville MTA) is soliciting bids for the demolition of existing structures at the site of a future neighborhood transit center to be located at Clarksville Pike and 26th Avenue North. The site, located at 2521 Clarksville Pike, Nashville, TN 37208, consists of two existing buildings, one of which is a former auto services building. Both building structures will be demolished. Four (4) underground storage tanks and three (3) in-ground lifts are present on the site and are included in the demolition scope. All above ground utilities, paving, and concrete are included for demolition unless otherwise noted in demolition drawings. Demolition of a portion of asphalt paving has been identified as a bid alternate in case driveway access is required to be maintained to the adjacent parking lot and retail center (not in scope). Please see technical specifications for details. The prime contractor is to have at least five years of demolition experience on projects of similar scope and nature. A Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%)of the bid amount must be issued by a fully qualified surety company acceptable to Agency and listed as a company currently authorized under 31 CFR, Part 223 as possessing a Certificate of Authority as described thereunder. In submitting this bid, it is understood and agreed by bidder that the right is reserved by Agency to reject any and all bids, or part of any bid, and it is agreed that the Bid may not be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days subsequent to the opening of bids, without the written consent of Agency. The penal amount of performance bonds shall be 100 percent of the original contract price, unless the Agency determines that a lesser amount would be adequate for the protection of the Agency..
