Work will be completed by on or before Friday, October 1, 2021 assuming a Notice to Proceed date on or before May 17, 2021. Each bidder shall comply with the laws of the State of Mississippi for bidding procedures and licensing requirements. All bids submitted in excess of $50,000.00 by a prime contractor or subcontractor to do any building, construction, repair, maintenance or related work must comply with Section 31-3-21, Mississippi Code of 1972, by securing a Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Public Contractors or by showing a statement to the effect that the bid is less than $50,000.00 and Certificate of Responsibility provision does not apply, on the outside of the envelope. Certified Check or Bid Bond for five percent (5%) of total bid payable to Desoto County must accompany each proposal. Five Percent (5%) Retainage will be held from each invoice and paid after the final acceptance of the project. Work will be let on a unit price basis. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to postpone for 45 days final decision and action on this bid. Payment to be made within forty five (45) days of receipt of invoices submitted by the 15th of each month. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informalities. The County reserves the right to amend the specifications upon reasonable notice to all that have examined and requested copies of those specifications.
