Site work and paving for a civil project in Quinte West, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
The project includes the Replacement of the Hill Road Bridge, located on Hill Road, approximately 80m south of Telephone Road, in the City of Quinte West. Road-closed construction includes for the removal of the existing single span girder structure, concrete abutment and footing removals, with installation of a new reinforced concrete foundation. The new bridge structure is detailed as three-sided precast concrete units complete with cast in place concrete wingwalls, deck, curbs and barrier end walls, with a metal traffic barrier on the curbs. Construction is to also include clearing and grubbing and all approach roadway grading revisions including the placement of roadway granular, hot mix asphalt, steel beam guide rail, and embankment rock protection. The removal of existing in-bank monitoring well and the installation of a new well, is also included in the work. Connection of the new well's housing top to hydro and communication service is also required.
