Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Mt Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project involves the installation of various streetscape items, including but not limited to, site clearing; removal and off-site disposal of existing concrete sidewalk, granite curbs and bituminous roadway; unclassified excavation with associated storm sewer installation; installation of plain concrete and granite chip exposed aggregate concrete sidewalks; installation of a block paver strip; installation of concrete straight curb; installation of ADA Detectable Warning Surface; installation of concrete structural slabs above existing basements; removal and replacement of metal basement access doors; installation of precast concrete seat wall, salt guard wall, and transition planter curbs; removal, relocation and replacement of street light fixtures and poles; installation of associated electrical items including new conduit, wire, pull boxes, wireways, panelboards, photocells and time clocks; installation of landscaping including canopy trees, understory trees, shrubs, flower plantings, and shredded bark mulch; pavement markings; associated site restorations; bituminous paving; traffic control; utility coordination and resident and business notifications and protections; and placement and maintenance of erosion and sedimentation control measures, complete in place. Add Alternate No. 1 Planter Drip Irrigation : The project alternate item involves the installation of a drip irrigation system in new planters along Washington Road, complete in place. Add Alternate No. 2 Planter Lighting The project alternate item involves the installation of LED lighting in new planters along Washington Road, complete in place. Add Alternate No. 3 Additional Planter at Alfred and Washington The project alternate item involves the installation of a new planter along Washington Road at the intersection with Alfred Street, complete in place. ADD Alternate No. 4 Bump Out at Shady Drive The project alternate item involves the installation of a sidewalk bump out at the intersection of Shady Drive and Washington Road, complete in place. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. The Proposals must be made to the Municipality of Mt. Lebanon, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Proposal guarantee. A ten ($10.00) dollar mailing fee will be charged for any documents delivered by U.S. mail. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages shall be paid on this contract. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond from a Surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the Municipality of Mt. Lebanon in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Bidder is advised that the Municipality will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder based on the total base bid and all add alternate bids submitted. However, the bidder is advised that the Municipality expressly reserves the right to reject all bids, and specifically reserves the right to award to the lowest responsible bidder a contract for all or any portions of the work listed in the proposal, and in awarding a contract for less than the total work listed, or less than all portions of the work listed, the contract price will be determined from the total quantities for each item listed and the unit price bid for each item listed.
