Site work for a road / highway in Boise, Idaho. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The Work to be included in the Construction Contract is generally described assite preparation and installation of a Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacon (RRFB), with equipment provided by the Ada County Highway District (ACHD), at a crosswalk located on Barrister Drive on the Ada County Public Safety Building Campus. The existing crosswalk connects the Community Transition Center, formerly the Work Release Center, located at 7255 W. Barrister Drive to the main Public Safety Building property located at 7200 W. Barrister Drive, in Boise, Idaho, as further described in the Project Manual. Please see Exhibit C. Work is to be coordinated with Ada County Operations and Ada County Sheriff's Office personnel. The right to reject any or all Bids or to accept the Bid judged by the Owner as most satisfactory for its requirements is expressly reserved by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to waive any informality or technical defect in Bids received when the defect is deemed immaterial to the potential acceptance of the Bid by the Owner and a waiver of the defect would not give the Bidder an unfair advantage in the bid process. Any and all questions, requests for clarification, or explanations desired by potential Bidders must be submitted in the Q&A section of the Bonfire project listing, and must be received no later than May 3, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. local time. An addendum will be made available on the Ada County website on or about May 6, 2022. Notice of any addenda will be sent to only those persons who have registered as a vendor on Bonfire for this Project. Before the Construction Contract is signed, the successful bidder must furnish performance and labor and material payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the Construction Contract amount, as allowed in Idaho Code 54-1926. The bonds shall be provided by a surety company or companies with AM Best rating(s) of A-VIII or better. If the surety does not have a current AM Best rating it must be currently certified by the U.S. Department of Treasury as an approved surety with an underwriting limitation greater than the bond amount. All sureties must be authorized to do business in the state of Idaho. All bonds shall name the County as obligee with copies of the bonds provided to Ada County Operations. The Bidder shall include the premiums for such bonds in its Bid. Owner estimates issuing a Notice to Proceed no more than ten (10) days after executing the Construction Contract. Substantial Completion of the Work is required no later than August 3, 2022. Final Completion of the Work is required no later than August 10, 2022 Procurement will make a recommendation to award to the Board of Ada County Commissioners on May 24, 2022, at or about 9:00 a.m. local time, in the Board of Ada County Commissioners' Conference Room, located on the third floor of the Ada County Courthouse and Administration Building, 200 W.
