A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Furnish and install approximately 1,400 LF of 4-inch, 8-inch, 12-inch, 16-inch and 20-inch Class 52 cement lined ductile iron water main with polyethylene encasement, valves, fittings, hydrants, water services, connection into existing mains; furnishing, installing and removing temporary bypass piping, abandoning existing water and hydrants.Furnish and install approximately 2,000 LF of 10-inch through 24-inch cured-in-place sewer main lining.Furnish and install approximately 400 LF of 24-inch by 20-inch custom cured-in-place sewer main lining Furnish and install 650 LF of 8-inch through 10-inch SDR 35 PVC sewer main, sewer laterals, sewer manholes, and installation and removing temporary sewer bypass pipe and pumping system.Furnish and install approximately 900 LF of 10-inch through 24-inch drain pipe, new drain manholes, and new catch basins.Work also includes utility relocations, connection to existing systems, earthwork, sheet and bracing, dewatering and draining, paving, restoration, rock and boulder removal, traffic management, and all miscellaneous work and cleanup as specified or required to complete the work. Questions will be received up to March 18, 2021 at 4:00 PM. Addenda will be issued up until March 25, 2021, unless the addenda is for purposes of extending the bidding period. The contract time shall be 180 calendar days commencing twenty days following the effective date of the agreement. The award of every such contract in which approval by an office, board or agency of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or the Federal Government is required, shall be made within thirty days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after such approval; and the award of every contract with which approval by an officer, board or agency of the Federal Government or the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is not required shall be made within thirty days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for at least thirty days after such approval, where required, has been received by the Awarding Authority. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. The City encourages D/MBE's and B/WBE's to submit bids. The award of this Contract will be contingent upon the City's needs, appropriation, and availability of funds. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the Bids received, and to accept the Bid or parts thereof deemed to be in its best interest. Owner reserves the right to reject any Bid if the evidence submitted by, or the investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy OWNER that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Contract Documents and to complete the Work contemplated therein.
