Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Working plans call for the construction of a 93,000-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.
Redevelopment of the Public Works Facilities Yard to replace aging infrastructure that is at the end of its useful life, to support the existing growth, future needs, and to keep up with current standards. The Public Works facilities replacement project includes two buildings - the fleet maintenance building and the administration building. The proposed Fleet Maintenance Building consists of a total finished gross floor area of approximately 2870 m2. The proposed Administration Building consists of a total gross floor area of approximately 5800 m2. TIMELINE: Design is ongoing. A CCDC 30 contract has been signed and is currently in the validation stage. Subtrades tender is not issued yet. The project Construction start, and completion dates are still unknown. Further update in spring, 2026.
