Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Santa Clarita, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The project consists of an addition to and modernization of an existing one story type V administration building, and conversion into a kindergarten classroom building, at Pinetree Community Elementary School, 29156 Lotusgarden Drive, Canyon Country, California 91387. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or bid bond executed by an admitted surety insurer, as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, payable to DISTRICT as a guarantee that Bidder, if its proposal is accepted, shall promptly execute the Agreement, furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, furnish a Payment Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, and furnish certificates evidencing that the required insurance is in effect in the amounts set forth in the General Conditions. In the event the successful Bidder fails to enter into the Contract and execute the required documents, such bid security will be forfeited. The Performance Bond shall remain in full force and effect through the guarantee period as specified in the General Conditions. Each Bidder is encouraged to and is expected to exercise due diligence to comply with the provisions of California Public Contract Code section 10115 et seq., California Military and Veterans Code section 999 et seq., and California Code of Regulations, Title 2, section 1896.60 et seq., which require all applicable contracts to satisfy state wide participation goals of not less than three percent (3%) for disabled veteran business enterprises ("DVBE") as the term is defined by the Department of General Services, Office of Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Services. In accordance with Education Code sections 17076.11, 100615, 100815 and 101011, District has a participation goal for DVBEs of at least three percent (3%) per year of the overall dollar amount of funds allocated to the District by the State Allocation Board pursuant to the Leroy F. Greene School Facilities Act of 1998 and Kindergarten-University Education Facilities Bond Act of 2002, 2004 and 2006 and the California Public School Facility Bonds Initiative, also known as Proposition 51, passed in 2016, for construction and modernization and expended each year by District. All Contractors must be registered and Pre-Qualified through the Department of Industrial Relations prequalification process. Contact the District with any questions. District reserves the right to reject Contractor's measurement of work-in-place that involves use of established unit prices and to have this work measured, at District's expense, by an independent surveyor acceptable to Contractor.
