The intent of this Request for Supplier Qualifications (RFSQ) is to obtain the services of several asphalt paving contractors to perform asphalt and repair services at District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) facilities, for a three year period beginning May 1, 2021 and ending April 30, 2024. The DSBN will pre-qualify Contractors, for the following categories of work: Category A: - For projects less than $25,000 on a time and material basis Category B: - For projects estimated to be more than $25,000 to be awarded on the basis of competitive request for quotation or tender as per the DSBN policy. - Only approved pre-qualified Paving Contractors for projects greater than $25,000 will be eligible to bid on DSBN Asphalt Paving Projects. (Please note this does not apply to projects tendered through General Contractors). The DSBN will select approximately 3 Contractors for Category A projects. Contractors may be selected for both or just one of the categories. For Category A projects, the DSBN Facility Services department will assign work to Contractors on the basis of "best fit" subject to the availability of the Contractor to meet DSBN requirements. Proponents may submit qualifications for only Category A or only Category B, or they may submit qualifications to be pre-qualified for both. This pre-qualification does not bind the DSBN to call and award any bid or tender for paving requirements or to assign any Contractor work. Where paving projects or work differs significantly from the scope of work as described herein, the DSBN reserves the right to utilize a different process and different Contractors.
