The projects are referred to as "Holt County 2021 Culverts, Group 1: C-45(526) and C-45(527)" and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for the construction of: C-45(526) - Site 1 - triple 60" x 53' corrugated metal pipes on a 40 degree skew (LHB); Site 2 - twin 60" x 45' corrugated metal pipes on a 10 degree skew (LHB); Site 3 - a 60" x 45' corrugated metal pipe on a 10 degree skew (RHB) with a 1-5 degree elbow; C45(527) - twin 96" x 106' corrugated metal pipes on a 10 degree skew (LHB) with a paved sloped inlet apron, all with steel headwalls and wingwalls and other related incidental work. For the construction of corrugated metal pipes with steel headwalls and wingwalls, and other related incidental work at four sites. The project sites are located as follows: C-45(526) - Site 1 - on Road 889 between 487 Ave and 488 Ave; Sites 2 and 3 - on 488 Ave between Road 888 and Road 889; C-45(527) - on 486 Ave between Road 885 and Road 886, all in Holt County, Nebraska. The desired completion date for all sites is September 30, 2021. The Contractor will be allowed fifty (50) calendar days for C-45(526) and forty (40) calendar days for C-45(527). The required completion date for each project will be the earlier of the dates indicated in the bid proposal or the actual start date plus the allotted calendar days for that project. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. No project can be started without the intent to complete that project without delay from the other project, therefore, the Contractor will not be allowed to start the removals for a project unless they have committed a crew to complete the work at that project. The Contractor may close the road for all three sites for project C45(526) at the same time and construct all three sites simultaneously. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Holt County Board of Supervisors. Holt County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Dept of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs of the Dept of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidden that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, sex, age and disability/handicap in consideration for award.
