Renovation of a municipal facility in Lowell, Massachusetts. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This project will fully renovate the public restrooms at Lowell City Hall. The bathrooms are currently out of date and in need of accessibility and functional repairs. New fixtures, floor tile, walls and ceilings will be replaced as part of the project. The project was previously funded as part of the FY2019 capital plan for design. The design work was completed in December 2021 and the current estimated cost is proposed for funding. This project will improve the facilities, which are open to the public, by bringing them to full ADA compliance and will make certain improvements to reduce disease transmission This project is included in the city's 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of August 19, 2022, further details regarding bid schedule and firm construction timelines have not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
