The work of the contract consists of a new secure entry door and new walking path around playfields Protests, Technical Questions, Requests for Clarification or Changes of Specifications and/or Bidding Requirements, including Substitution Requests, must be received by the purchasing specialist in writing no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to bid closing date and time. The Work of the Contractor consists of Construction of building upgrades at Ardenwald Elementary School as indicated on Contract Documents prepared by BBL ARCHITECTS and their consultants. Without force and effect on requirements of contract documents, the description of the work of the contract can be summarized as follows: 1. Removal and replacement of entry mat at Main office area. 2. Addition of aluminum storefront windows and door at Main office area and demolition of existing brick and metal stud wall to allow this addition. 3. Relocation of access control to this new location. 1. Maintain the existing building in a safe and weathertight condition throughout the construction period. Repair damage caused by construction operations. Take all precautions necessary to protect the building and its occupants during the construction period. 2. Keep public areas such as hallways, stairs, elevator lobbies and toilet rooms free from accumulation of waste material, rubbish, or construction debris. 3. Smoking or open fires will not be permitted within the building enclosure or on the premises.
