Mount Pleasant Waterworks (MPW) is pre-qualifying all General Contractors for the CSWWTP Headworks Rehabilitation Project (Project). Only those contractors with significant experience and expertise will be invited to bid on the Project as demonstrated through this Pre-Qualification process. Pre-Qualification is a mandatory requirement for bidding on the Project. Potential bidders shall have indepth experience in the rehabilitation/replacement of existing water/wastewater structures including dealing with the construction/installation issues described below. All requests for the RFQ and any questions regarding this Solicitation shall be directed to Mr. Kirby Dobberfuhl, PE, Black & Veatch, (843) 693-0211, dobberfuhlK@bv.com. The Owner (MPW) reserves the right to amend the RFQ at any time and only those contractors registered with Black & Veatch will receive amendments. The Project consists of rehabilitation and modifications to the Owner's existing headworks structure and process equipment at the Center Street Wastewater Treatment Plant, rated for 3.7 MGD annual average flow rate. Construction may include the following: Maintenance of plant operations (MOPO) - CSWWTP must remain operational. Rehabilitation of the headworks structure Retrofitting, replacing and/or removing & reinstalling process equipment Installation of electrical equipment. The Work includes, but is not limited to, all piping and valves, grading and paving, sedimentation and erosion control, electrical work, and all other work necessary to render the facilities complete and operational. All work will be completed in accordance with local, state, and federal permits and regulations. The Owner shall not be responsible for any cost incurred by contractors because of participation in this selection process. Each contractor shall bear its own expense in connection with the preparation and submission of materials and the provision of any supplemental information requested. The Owner shall have no liability for cost incurred by contractors in connection with the review and evaluation of qualification materials and any findings and determinations made therefrom.
