Site work for a water / sewer project in Norwoodville, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
On behalf of the Polk County Board of Supervisors and Public Works, the Procurement Division will receive sealed bids for the Norwoodville Sanitary Sewer Service Improvements. Project includes approximately 2,268 feet of 6-inch and 4,726 feet of 4-inch sanitary sewer, 47 septic abandonments, 9 acres surface restoration, and related items. It generally runs east to west from NE 33 rd St. west to NE 27 th Ct. Project start approximately May 1, 2021 and specified to be completed by October 1, 2021. Bidder should not include sales tax in their bid and shall include a five percent (5%) bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code. Any entity not yet registered on online Direct may sign up for a free account for access to this posting and be included in all future Polk County solicitations. A pre-letting conference will not be held. By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and produced within the State of Iowa and to Iowa domestic labor. It is the purchasing policy of Polk County to allow the Polk County Board of Supervisors the discretion of showing preference in purchasing goods and services from vendors who produce goods or maintain an office in Iowa. Preference may also be given to goods produced in Polk County or to vendors maintaining an office in Polk County. Further, it is the policy of Polk County to actively solicit and seek out local vendors of goods and services and to encourage said vendors to stock and supply Iowa-made products.
