Site work, new construction and renovation of an educational facility in Norfolk, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; for the construction of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

Project Description: Sealed bids are invited for the construction/renovation of Old Dominion Universitys LR Hill Football Locker Room space. The Scope of Work shall consist of and is generally described as the renovation of an existing locker room space (A-3) and will be replaced with a new locker room space (A-3) which includes new restrooms, showers, athletic lockers, and finishes for the ODU Football Team. In addition to this function, a new student-athlete lounge will be added to the existing mezzanine level, located adjacent to the weight-room (A-3). The existing capacity and type of occupancy has not changed. Per record drawings dated August 07, 2015, this is a non-separated mixed occupancy based on Use Groups A-3, and B per VCC 508.3 and S-1 per VCC 508.2. The total occupancy is 1,637 people. Compliance Statement #7: In accordance with the Virginia Energy Conservation Code (VECC), the building shall comply with VECC sections C402 through C405 with additional efficiency package option C406.3 - Reduced Lighting Power Density HVAC systems: Demolish all existing systems serving the locker rooms and replace with new systems. Currently, there are two different units serving the space. A makeup air unit (MAU-3) that brings in outside air to the locker rooms and exhausts the showers, and a rooftop unit (RTAC-1) that conditions the locker rooms. Both units can be demolished and replaced with one system that can ventilate and condition the space. This approach will work however, it is not necessary since the existing makeup air unit (MAU-3) meets code and can handle the capacities of the existing spaces to remain (not in scope). In order to maintain posted Bid due date, all questions related to this project shall be submitted in writing via email and shall be submitted concurrently to each of the named points of contact in above III. All questions are due via email no later than 2:00 P.M. (EST) on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 . Bidders that are interested in participating in the on-campus project site walkthrough must registered with the PM as described herein on or before 2:00 P.M. (EST) on January 10, 2022
