Project No: 21048, S21.142 The work of this contract shall consist of the bid proposal as outlined in the drawings and specifications.All general contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the state laws of north carolina. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on a bank insured by the federal deposit insurance corporation for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the bid proposal, in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of north carolina to execute such bonds, conditioned that the surety will upon demand forthwith make payment to the obligee upon said bond if the bidder fails to execute the contract in accordance with the contract documents. A performance bond and a labor and material bond will be required for this project. Each contractor shall provide general liability, workman's comp, vehicle & builders risk for this project.No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of thirty (30) days.All testing will be paid for by the owner. General contractor will pay for the building permit. General contractor will provide a construction trailer with conference room. Owner will submit for the plan review. The general contractor will be accessed liquidated damages of $500.00 a day for damages beyond the amount of completion days stated on the bid form.The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. No pre-bid meeting will be held.
