Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Milpitas, California. Completed plans call civil work for a municipal facility and water / sewer project.
Project Description. The Project is being constructed to extend the life cycle of the existing facility by preventing the concrete walls from further deteriorating and to maintain the as-built channel flood capacity. Post-construction, the facility would have approximately more than 15 years sustainability before a full replacement of the facility is required. The scope includes the following: 1. Compliance with Stream Maintenance Program 2 (SMP2) Permits and installation of BMP's. 2. Control of water, including but not limited to; dewatering system, pumps,force mains, and proper diversion of upstream drainage and channel flows; proper handling and disposal of groundwater flows that are by products of the required construction; water quality, sampling, monitoring, and reporting per the SMP2 permits requirements; proper handling and diversion of storm drain runoff from outfalls. 3. Clearing and grubbing within the Project limits. 4. Photographic and video documentation, pre-construction survey photos and videos. 5. Site, noise and vibration monitoring. 6. Establishment and maintenance of construction staging areas. 7. Working adjacent to, delineating of and demarcation of existing bridges, residential and commercial structures, utility facilities (including overhead utility lines, etc.). 8. Removal of steel structures and pertinent materials, as identified in the Contract Plans. 9. Installation of all steel AISC structural sections, Structural steel welding by qualified and certified welders, epoxy anchors, structures and other pertinent steel materials, as described in the Specifications and Contract Plans. 10. Other miscellaneous construction activities and items necessary to satisfactorily complete the Work. The estimated cost of the Project is $3.1 million to $3.3 million.
