Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Middletown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and work necessary to erect a tolling facility, including gantry structure, concrete utility building, complete and operable, bituminous toll zone pavement and bituminous parking area. Work items include, but are not limited to: 521 CY Excavation, Class 1 (Including Over-excavation) 31 CY Excavation, Class 2 171 CY Selected Borrow Excavation, Various 335 TON Subbase (No. 2A) 548 TON Superpave Asphalt Materials (Base, Binder & Wearing Courses) 525 LF Guide Rail, Type 31-S 2,052 LF Concrete Barrier, Various Types and Sizes 430 CY Class 3 Excavation 55 CY Class A Cement Concrete (Including For Miscellaneous Drainage) 90 CY Class AAA Cement Concrete (Including Cast In Place and Precast) 41,530 LB Fabricated Structural Steel, Various Grades 27,370 LB Reinforcement Bars, Epoxy Coated 7 LF Drilled Shafts in Rock 13 LF Drilled Shafts in Soil Milepost 30.63 is located approximately 2.63 miles east of the Cranberry Interchange, Exit 28, and Milepost 32.16 is located approximately 6.84 miles west of the Butler Valley Interchange, Exit 39, in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The proposal and plans are published electronically in EBS and are available to registered business partners for downloading and printing. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement.
