DASNY is soliciting the services of a General Contractor for a single prime construction contract at the Capital District Psychiatric Center to renovate an existing kitchen that services the outpatient wing located in Unit D. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, demolition including selective portions of removal to the existing slab, tile floor, & interior finishes. Also included is the replacement of the floor slab & CMU walls, providing a new ceiling system, replacing fire sprinkler & piping, modifying plumbing piping & HVAC ductwork, providing new light fixtures, providing all new commercial kitchen equipment, appliances & a new ventless cooking system with fire suppression to outfit the new space. The project is scheduled to be substantially complete on or before 11/1/2021. Estimated overall construction is valued at $150,000 - $175,000 All individuals who plan to attend pre-bid meetings or bid openings in person will be required to complete and present a DASNY Visitor Covid-19 Screening Questionnaire, present government-issued picture identification to building security officials and obtain a visitors pass prior to attending the bid opening. The questionnaire and all instructions are located after Section 19.0 of the Information for Bidders. Individuals and entities submitting bids in person or by private delivery services should allow sufficient time for processing through building security to assure that bids are received prior to the deadline for submitting bids. Individuals are strongly encouraged to utilize this public viewing option as an alternative to in person attendance at bid openings. Only those Contract Documents obtained in this manner will enable a prospective bidder to be identified as an official plan holder of record.
