This contract contains pedestrian improvements at 5 intersections: 1.) 4th St. at Clarence St., 2.) 6th St. at Clarence St., 3.) Jesse St. at Clarence St., 4.) 6th St. at Anderson St., 5.) Anderson St. at Jesse St. The improvements include: sidewalk repairs, street restoration, curb ramps, curb extensions, pedestrian lighting, traffic signals and striping, and continental crosswalks. The Contractor will provide the Survey. This is a Federal-Aid Project. The work includes but is not necessarily limited to the following: Furnishing, hauling, placing, compacting, and grading of material; preparing subgrade for Portland cement concrete (PCC) and asphalt concrete (AC); furnishing and constructing ADA compliant PCC sidewalk, curb ramps, curb, curb & gutter, intersection gutter, longitudinal gutter, driveways, and appurtenant work to match existing; grinding and patching PCC improvements and cold milling AC pavement; installing detectable warning surface tiles on PCC improvements and painted colored sidewalks; sawcutting, removals, adjusting water valves and manholes to grade; relocating pull boxes; tree removals; clearing and grubbing; removing curb, gutter, sidewalk, pavement and other landscape and irrigation improvements; unclassified excavation, including haul; traffic striping and markings; traffic control (includes all permitting, detour and construction stages); street lighting; finish grading; clean-up and related work, traffic signal installation and interconnects, street and pedestrian lighting installation, traffic striping, and all associated work.
