Contract I - Collection System which generally consists of 8,272 LF of 1 1/2", 2", 3" and 4" force main and 83 STEP Systems Contract II - Lagoon which generally consists of a 3 Cell Controlled Discharge Lagoon, 2,390 LF Outfall Pipe and related work. Bids will be received for two Contracts. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. For this project, bids will ONLY be received electronically. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The deminimis and minor components waiver apply to this contract. Bid security shall be furnished in the amount of 5 percent of the amount of the bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa.
