Site work, paving and new construction of a fire / police facility in Debary, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a 6,500-square-foot fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

Construction of a new fire station on Fort Florida Road. As of, February 21, 2023, this project is out to bid for a general contractor. The project will include a Concrete Masonry and Steel Joist Building with a metal sloped roof and three drive thru apparatus bays. The 6,500 SF fire station building includes a multipurpose room, a Lieutenant's Office, and general facility functions such as, kitchen, dining, dayroom, dormitory for four (4) fire staff, and restrooms with showers. Equipment/utility/support spaces are also included. The ingress to the rear of the Fire Station will be through a driveway on Fort Florida Road. Located behind the Fire Station is the ingress apron into the Apparatus Bays, access to the dumpster enclosure, and the generator/fuel tank & a mechanical yard for the building. The staff parking is located west of the fire station. The New Fire Station Public entrance faces Fort Florida Road. Visitors will have to take the driveway to access public parking. The common parking areas and drive aisles will be constructed of asphalt paving. The main circulation drives used by the fire trucks will be heavy duty asphalt and the entry and exit lanes to the bays will be concrete pavement. Potable water and fire flow water service will be obtained from a 12-inch water main along Fort Florida Road being constructed by Volusia County utilities. A sewer lift station will pump to the existing gravity sewer system at the Rivington Subdivision. Electricity, provided by FPL, will be distributed by an underground drop from an adjacent pole, and primary power will be run to onsite transformers. Stormwater treatment will be by a stormwater pond located west of the proposed parking lot Construction is expected to start late second quarter 2023. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
