Canyon ISD is requesting proposals for the replacement of the Sundown Lane Elementary roof Scope of Work: Canyon ISD is requesting proposals for the replacement of the Sundown Lane Elementary roof, located at 4546 W Sundown lane Amarillo, TX 79118 Built - Up Roof Areas: - Work consists of removal of existing gravel surfaced builtup roof and insulation to the gypsum deck including related trim and components. a. Existing Roof: Remove existing gravel surface built-up roof and insulation to the deck. Repair deteriorated and damaged areas of the deck. Follow manufacturer guidelines for removal and replacement or repair of the deck. b. New Roof: 4-Ply BUR, Gravel Surface 1) Removal of the existing roof system down to gypsum and all associated flashings. Repair deck areas subject to demolition work and replace damaged or deteriorated areas of decking to match existing in accordance with deck manufacturer's requirements. 2) Demolition and removal of abandoned equipment and penetrations; correction of existing roof details, curbs, and penetrations to provide required 8" minimum height and minimum 18 inch distance from other curbs; replacement of metal flashings and counter flashing. 3) Install a new gravel surface 4 ply BUR, as specified, 1/2 " coverboard, tapered insulation and insulation as specified. A fiberglass base sheet shall be installed on the areas with gypsum deck. The insulation shall be as noted and detailed. Install new 24 ga. prefinished coping, counterflashings, gutters, downspouts, conductor heads, etc., as specified. Color selected by Owner.
