The first task consists of the design-build replacement of two existing Biotower vertical turbine pumps with new centrifugal pumps, to include but not limited to pump installation, sewer piping, pipe support, concrete pad, grading work, electrical, hiring of engineering consultants, obtaining necessary building permits, pump commissioning, demolition and patching work, and all other incidental work. The second task consist of the removal and replacement of the arm assemblies and centerwells for each of the two Biotowers operating at the Hilo Wastewater Treatment Plant, which includes but is not limited to assembling new Biotower arm components, removing and recycling, or disposing of, old parts and equipment. Prospective Bidders must file with the Director of Public Works their "Intent to Bid." The Prospective Bidder's Intent to Bid must be received by the Administration Office, Department of Public Works no later than 4:30 p.m., ten (10) calendar days prior to the bid opening date.
