Demolition, site work, paving, new construction and addition to a mixed-use development in Middleville, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,680-square-foot municipal facility; for the addition of a 4,004-square-foot municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The project includes the construction of a 1680 SF wood framed office addition onto the existing 4004 SF township hall. The addition will provide a new office entry with two transaction windows, and custom casework, for the receptionist and treasurer. In addition to office and workspace for the administrative staff, four offices are included. The existing building was built in the 1970s and in need of extensive renovation. Insulation and drywall exterior walls of meeting hall, with the attic insulation being replaced with spray-on polyurethane foam. The existing vinyl tile flooring will be replaced with tile carpeting. The entire lay-in acoustical ceiling will be replaced. A new custom casework desk for seven officials will be located on a raised dais. The existing office area will be renovated into a conference room and two-person office. The mechanical & electrical systems will be entirely replaced to meet current standards and Codes, as well as supporting the addition. Consumers Energy will need to provide a new electric service. Sitework will include preparation and restoration for the addition, rerouting of underground roof drain piping, and sidewalks from building entries to the existing parking lot. The construction of the addition will occur as the first phase of work. The Township's staff will continue to occupy the existing building during the construction of the addition. Until completion of the addition, the Township's staff will move into the addition prior to commencement of alterations. The existing restroom facilities are to remain accessible and useable to the Township's staff, during the alterations phase of work.
