The project consists of undergrounding electrical services at the beach. o the conversion of electrical services from combination overhead/underground to underground from FPL transformer to new meters/meter center, including: o trenching and installation of underground conduits and conductors; o restoration of asphalt, concrete, curbing, sod, landscaping, and pavement markings; o installation of surface-mounted conduits, conductors, and associated pull boxes\ and other equipment as detailed on the plans; o installation of new meter cans at the lift station and the restroom building; o installation of a new meter and disconnect at the dumpster enclosure, o construction of a new electrical service with meter center on the second floor of the pier restaurant; o reconnect all existing panels in pier restaurant building for individually metering; o removal of the existing electrical service rack in the dune just south of the pier The City Commission of the City of Dania Beach reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in a bid and to make an award in the best interests of the City, as Owner. All questions requiring interpretation or clarification of the bidding documents shall be made in writing and shall be delivered to the City (and its Consultant, if applicable) at least ten (10) business days prior to the date for the receipt of Bids. No questions shall be answered during the five (5) business days prior to the date of the opening of the Bids. Bid Security: Simultaneously with the delivery of an executed Bid to the Owner, the Bidder shall furnish to the Owner a Bid Security in the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) as security for the faithful execution of an Agreement with the Owner in the event of a bid award by the City Commission. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion not later than ninety (90) calendar days and Final Completion of the entire Work not later than one hundred (100) calendar days, each commencing with the date set forth in the NOTICE TO PROCEED as issued by the City, subject to adjustments of this Contract Time as provided in the Contract Documents
