Site work for a power facility in Placerville, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a power facility.
The project is to design and implement more reliable power distribution from utility and backup generator. Currently the site has multiple voltage feeds, large voltage swings and suffers from load imbalances. The load imbalance and voltage swings are causing faster equipment degradation and increasing maintenance cost. Consolidating power to a single feed will alleviate the current problems and improve reliability of the site. The current generator is no longer sized adequately for the current load at the facility. This project would require installation of a larger generator. This project is included in the El Dorado Irrigation District's FY 2023 - 2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of April 5, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. Construction is anticipated in FY 2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
