*As of February 14, 2024 project is under construction. Construction started around a couple months ago. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Submit all questions regarding this RFQ in writing to Carrie Hyde at hyde.164@osu.edu with the project number included in the subject line (no phone calls please). The project is located at The Ohio State University, Columbus Campus. The project will adjoin BMEC Phase 1 previously completed (Mars G. Fontana Labs).The scope will include the renovation of existing MacQuigg Hall (105 W Woodruff Ave, Columbus, OH 43210-1117)and the construction of a new building where Watts Hall is currently located (2041 College Rd, Columbus, OH 43210-1178). The buildings are located in the central core of campus which is highly populated. Watts Hall will be separated from MacGuigg and demolished as a separate project. The buildings will provide additional facilities for the Biomedical and Materials Engineering Complex. The facilities will house research and teaching labs, collaboration spaces, offices, and classroom space. The scope of work anticipated to include building renovation, hazardous materials abatement, site utilities, construction typically associated with an extensive renovation of a laboratory building, and new building construction.
