Ferris State University and RoofTech Consulting and Management, LLC request bid submissions for the Ewigleben Sports Complex Sections A, B and C Roofing Project as described in attached documentation and within the RoofTech Consulting and Management, LLC online files. work is to be performed at Ferris State University, Ewigleben Sports Complex Sections A, B and C located at 210 Sports Drive, Big Rapids, Michigan. Included in the base bid is the application of an Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) membrane roofing system which is approximately 26,773 total square feet in size The scope of work includes, but not limited to the following: Sections A, B and C A. Protect the roofing systems surrounding the newly renovated areas as specified. It should be noted that the Contractor shall be held responsible for any damage to the existing membrane. B. Remove the: Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) roofing system with Polyisocyanurate insulation down to the Type B metal deck. C. Remove the existing flashing at the perimeter, all curbs, drains and penetrations. D. Remove the existing coping and counter flashing from the roofing system. E. The Contractor shall leave in place the batten insulation that was installed in the grooves of the metal deck on Section A. If there is damaged, wet and/or missing batten insulation the Contractor shall remove and replace with new insulation. F. Carefully inspect the Type B metal deck for any deficiencies, rust and/or damage. Repair the metal deck if deemed necessary (see unit pricing). G. Purchase and install a base layer of one and-half (1 *6) inch Polyisocyanurate insulation which shall be mechanically attached to the existing Type B metal deck using plates and screw as supplied by the membrane manufacturer. The Contractor shall follow Factory Mutual (FM) 1-75 guidelines and requirements.
