City of Pelham will receive sealed bids for the bid of the City of Pelham Resurfacing Project 2021. Each bid must be sealed and the following words must appear on the outside of the sealed envelope: City of Pelham Resurfacing 2021 The City of Pelham Resurfacing Project Base Bid consists of 32500 sy of milling, 2700 tons of wearing surface, and 600 sf of traffic control markings, and Alternate 1 consists of 8500 sy of milling, 700 tons of wearing surface, and 100 sf of traffic control markings. Project completion time is 90 working days, All General Contractor bidders must be ALDOT certified bidders and have a current Alabama General Contractor's License. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to City of Pelham in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal along with Non-Collusion Affidavit. A One Hundred Percent (100 %) Performance Bond and a One Hundred Percent (100 %) Payment Bond and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. Engineer's Bracket Estimate: $300,000.00 - $400,000.00. Nonresident bidders must accompany any written bid documents with a written opinion of an attorney at law licensed to practice law in such nonresident bidder's state of domicile, as to the preferences, if any or none, granted by the law of that state to its own business entities whose principal places of business are in that state in the letting of any or all public contracts. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids. All general contractor bidders must be pre-qualified pursuant to pre-qualification procedures and criteria established by the Owner prior to picking up bid documents. All general contractor bidders must be on the ALDOT approved bidders list as a Prime Contractor.
