The scope of this project is includes but not limited to following renovation of an educational facility. As of March 21,2023, a general contractor has not been assigned to this project. A firm construction timeline has not been released. Abbreviated Written Summary: Briefly and without force and effect upon the contract documents, the work of the Contracts can be summarized as follows: 1. The Project is to complete a building renovation project, the extent of which is indicated in the contract documents. 2. The work generally includes the following major categories of construction work: a. Selective demolition, stone masonry restoration including patching and dutchman work, masonry repointing, and masonry cleaning. b. Removal and disposal of existing materials removed or demolished. c. Temporary facilities as required for the project including protection of existing building. d. Building exterior: Exterior envelope is stone masonry. Work include masonry restoration and cleaning, wood window restoration, and new metal storm windows. e. Interior construction: The renovation work includes reconfiguration of building spaces, new finishes, metal framed and gypsum board partitions, and new wood doors, door hardware, acoustical ceilings, carpeting, painting, casework and countertops, window shades, interior signage, and specialties. f. Restoration of interior building fabric including restoration of interior finishes, flooring, plaster, woodwork, refurbishing existing wood doors, plaster, decorative painting, polished concrete flooring. g. New mechanical, new electrical systems and lighting, new plumbing and fire protection throughout. A new machine roomless elevator is incorporated in a modified existing shaft and pit. 3. Site development Work: a. Hardscape including building accessible exterior ramp and railings, stone retaining wall, concrete pavement, modifications at building entry, and unit paving. b. Landscaping including planting beds, trees, shrubs, perennial planting, grass and groundcovers.
