The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to design and build a new animal barn for the Mat-Su Borough Animal Shelter. See scope of services for more detail. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashier's check, or Bid Bond in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total Base Bid amount, made payable to the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Palmer, Alaska, with good and sufficient surety or sureties acceptable to the Borough. Bid Guarantees will be held until the Agreement is executed or for 60 days whichever is less. Powerof-Attorney for the person signing the Bid Bond for the Surety must be submitted with the Bid Bond. The Contractor shall furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of this Contract and also a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price on the forms provided in the Project Manual, with sureties in compliance with applicable law and qualified by law to act as surety in furnishing such bonds, and as may be acceptable to the Borough. The premium shall be paid by the Contractor. The Contractor shall deliver the required bonds to the Borough not later than ten days after notice of award.
