Site work, paving and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Doaktown, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to the following: .1 Supply and installation of construction access, environmental protection, safety barricades, and trail closed/warning signs as required. .2 Removal of existing railing system and lookouts as indicated on Drawings. .3 Removal of the existing decking. .4 Removal and replacement of 100 existing deteriorated railroad ties as directed by the Engineer. - 100 "new" ties to be supplied by NBNRED. - Transportation of 100 "new" ties from the NBNRED Kingsclear Nursery to site. - Install 100 "new" railroad ties in place of those that were removed. - Disposal of removed ties at an approved disposal facility. .5 Supply and installation of new decking. .6 Supply and installation of new railing system as indicated on Drawings. .7 Disposal of all timber removed from the deck and railings to be disposed of at an approved disposal site. .8 Removal of temporary works and project site clean-up. Contractors are reminded that they must receive tender documents for bidding purposes from the office of Construction Tendering - Buildings (Division), Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, Fredericton NB, 506-453-2706. Only those tenders submitted by bidders listed as having received tender documents from the Central Tendering - Buildings Division office shall be considered.
