PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work to be performed under this contract is located at the Sacramento International Airport, 6900 Airport Blvd and includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and services necessary for the Sacramento International Airport Terminal A Security Checkpoint Expansion Phase 2D which consists ofincreasing the Terminal A second floor platform by 1,300 square feet adjacent to the security checkpoint queuing areas, re-configuring the exit corridor, and replacing the two existing escalators with two new escalator CONTRACTOR'S CALIFORNIA LICENSE AND/OR CLASS REQUIRED A or B The County of Sacramento reserves the right to make accommodations to public bid openings and Pre-Bid Conferences due to ongoing health concerns regarding COVID-19. County will strive to provide updates regarding the conduct of its public bid openings and Pre-Bid Conferences as soon as they become available. Each bid must be submitted on the proposal bid forms provided in the Contract Documents. Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond/guaranty issued by a corporate surety, a certified check, or cashier's check payable to the Treasurer of Sacramento County, or cash for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate sum of the bid. The County does not have a standard bid bond/guarantee form. The bid bond/guarantee form may be provided by the corporate surety. Bids not accompanied by a bid bond/guarantee will not be read and be rejected as non-responsive. The successful bidder shall be required to execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the County of Sacramento, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
