As of July 20, 2021, this project has not yet been awarded. It is expected to be discussed on Council meeting on tonight, July 20, 2021. The purpose of this bid is to invite prospective Contractors to plan and install a maintenance building at the City's Water Reclamation Facility (300 Oxford State Road, Middletown, OH 45042). It is the intent of these specifications is to describe the project in sufficient detail to obtain bids from several Contractors. While the purpose of this specification is to indicate certain minimum requirements, it is not the intent to exclude any bids, but is written to ensure the City of Middletown a Contractor most suitable for its requirements. Verbal communication shall not be binding on the City of Middletown. Only written communication in the form of addenda will be binding. The building shall meet or exceed the current Ohio Board of Building Standards (OBBS). The maintenance building shall be approximately 15,100 square feet and will house offices, tool storage, a shop area, a warehouse area, and locker rooms. See attached conceptual layout. The following scope of work is intended to ensure bidders have the same general understanding of the project scope. The Design-Builder should rely on their own professional judgement to make any necessary modifications to the scope of work provided below.
