Bids are invited to furnish all materials, labor, tools, and services necessary to construct repairs to the HVAC systems serving the Long Beach City Hall, together with all appurtenances, miscellaneous items, and restoration. For bids exceeding $50,000 Bidder must indicate his Certificate of Responsibility Number on outside of sealed proposal as required by Mississippi Law. For bids not exceeding $50,000, Bidder must either indicate his Certificate Number, or else write clearly "Bid does not exceed $50,000." The City of Long Beach, Mississippi, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. It is the intent of the Contract Documents that the Contractor shall furnish to the Owner a complete job with all necessary items of work completed as set forth in the Contract Documents. 1.3. Contractor shall be aware that the project is within an "in service" City building providing a critical function. Contractor must avoid damage to and disruption of property improvements to the extent possible. In any case, it shall be Contractor's responsibility to perform the work in a manner which does not unreasonably hinder the City's ability to provide service. 1.4. Contractor shall perform testing on all materials incorporated in the work, including but not limited to all requirements delineated in the specifications. Bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date to be specified in a written Notice to Proceed of the Owner and to fully complete the project within 90 calendar days thereafter.
