Renovation of an educational facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 550-square-foot educational facility.
Questions are due by: 5 pm Tuesday December 7, 2021 in writing via email to: kwagner@wagnerarch.com This project renovates room D220 and D220D in the CVM Main Building to accommodate future medical CT equipment. This will allow staff to improve how equine are handled during the procedure. The scope includes improvements for equipment radiation shielding, new openings for maneuvering animals, and reinforced concrete pit for future standing CT scan system and hydraulic table. This renovation will also update the room conditions to meet washdown requirements. The project consists of a renovation of approximately 550 square feet of veterinary medical space in the equine veterinary hospital. Bids will be received for single prime bid contracts. All Proposals will be lump sum. The State reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. North Carolina State University has an affirmative policy of fostering, promoting and conducting business with minority owned enterprises. Minority contractors are encouraged to participate in the bidding process. The bidder must include completed minority business subcontractor documentation form(s) with their proposal or the bid may be considered non-responsive and invalid. In accordance with GS133-3, Section 64. (C) and State Construction Office procedures the following preferred brand items are being considered as Alternates by the owner for this project: Rema Tip Top T-Rex 60, 5/16 inch thick 1 inch diamond industrial rubber flooring. Hardware - mortise locks by Best, closers by LCN and cylinders by Schlage.
