Site work for a water / sewer project in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

This project is one in a series of projects that are being processed under County Code Section 2-8.2.12, entitled Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department Consent Decree and Capital Improvement Programs Acceleration Ordinance. The project is located primarily along NW 22 Avenue from NW 79 Street to NW 90 Street, along with work on side streets, in Sections 3 & 10, Township 54S, Range 41E in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The project is comprised of the installation of 16-inch, 12-inch, and 8-inch ductile iron (DI) water mains; 10-inch and 8-inch gravity sewer; and an 8-inch force main primarily along NW 22 Avenue from NW 79 Street to NW 90 Street, along with work on side streets. The project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment, including necessary to construct the proposed water mains, gravity sewers, and force main, including, but not limited to, mobilization; site preparation and clearing and grubbing as necessary; furnish and install new water mains, gravity sewers, and force main; furnish and install connections to the existing water mains and force main; connections to the future Pump Station D2-C-2; site restoration; testing; and other appurtenant and miscellaneous items and work for a complete, satisfactory and functional installation for this force main as shown on the contract drawings and as specified herein. Water mains, gravity sewers, and force mains will be constructed in accordance with the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department's Design Standards. A summary of the work includes the following: 1.Gravity Sewer: furnish and install approximately 9,246 linear feet of 10-inch and 8-inch ductile iron gravity sewer along NW 22 Avenue, including side streets as shown on the plan sheets, from NW 79 Street to NW 90 Street, and all appurtenances; sewer laterals and cleanouts; making connection to future Pump Station (PS) D2-C-2 (PS by others). 2.Sanitary Force Main: furnish and install approximately 450 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron force main along NW 87 Avenue from NW 21 Court (at future PS D2-C-2 by others) to NW 21 Avenue, and all appurtenances; making connection to existing 12-inch force main at NW 21 Avenue. 3.Water Main: furnish and install approximately 9,851 linear feet of 16-inch, 12-inch, and 8-inch ductile iron water main along NW 22 Avenue, including side streets as shown on the plan sheets, from NW 79 Street to NW 90 Street, and all appurtenances; service lines; water meters; and fire hydrants. 4.All previous project segment descriptions also include cleaning and testing all installed mains; providing traffic control; temporary and permanent replacement of any sidewalk, sod, pavement markings, pavement, and/or driveway(s) damaged by the construction; and all other appurtenant and miscellaneous items of work for a complete, functional, and satisfactory installation of the project. The Project is subject to the requirements of Miami Dade County Code (County Code) Sec. 10-33.02. - Small Business Enterprise Construction Services Program and Administrative Order 3-22 whereby it has been determined that subcontractor goals must be included in the Contract. The Small Business Enterprise - Construction goal is 18.00%, Small Business Enterprise - Goods and Services goal is 8.00% which is based on the construction estimate plus the 10% Contingency Allowance. A 10% Community Workforce Program (CWP) goal is applicable to this project. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The bid security can be in the attached Prescribed Bid Bond form, which shall be executed by the Bidder and a qualified Surety, satisfactory and payable to the Miami-Dade County, Florida, Board of County Commissioners. The bid security can also be in the form of a certified check or cashier's check on a solvent national or state bank. The successful contractor must execute a one hundred (100%) Surety Performance and Payment Bonds. The Board of County Commissioners, Miami-Dade County, Florida, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid or to re-advertise for bids. Bids from any person, firm or Corporation in default on other contracts or agreements with the County may be rejected. Failure by the Bidder to satisfy claims on previous contracts with the County may be cause for rejection of his bid
