Cartway Milling and Superpave Wearing Course Installation - 4314820

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Hilltown Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

CLARIFICATION DEADLINE - 4/16/2021 12:00 PM Installation of Ultra-Thin Bonded Wearing Course, Gradation B (approximately 9,545 square yards). Contractor will provide labor, equipment and material for full width cartway milling to a depth of 2.5 inches, installation of Superpave Asphalt mixture design, 9.5 mm leveling course (as directed), and 2 inches wearing course mix. Contractor is responsible for milling at all paving joints including intersections, structures, curbs, and paved driveways and seam sealing at intersections, structures, curbs, and paved driveways. Contractor is responsible for sweeping, tack coat, and traffic control. Township must be notified a minimum of five (5) working days prior to start of work. All work must be performed as directed by the Township. LOCATION OF WORK: Edgewood Drive (T-442) from Conestoga Way to end (cul-de-sac street) and Heather Drive (T-443) from Conestoga Way to end (cul-de-sac street Bids must be made on forms furnished by the Township and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of at least (10%) of the total price bid made payable to the Township. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Insurance; Performance, Payment Bonds each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price; and a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price; with a corporate surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and approved by the Township, in accordance with bid specifications. Hilltown Township reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities. Milling, leveling, and overlay paving to commence after June 15, 2021, and to be completed on or before August 27, 2021. After August 27, 2021 Liquidated Damages apply at the rate of $885.00 per calendar day.
