Site work and paving for a road / highway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The planned improvements include a three-lane section from Hooper Road to Lanier Road with a shared-use path on each side and a closed drainage system. From Lanier Road to Joor Road, the proposed roadway is planned to be two-lanes with a paved shoulder and an open drainage system due to the minimal development in this area. The MOVEBR Transportation and Infrastructure Improvements Program is the most significant transportation infrastructure investment in East Baton Rouge Parish history. The 1/2 cent sales tax proposition was approved by the voters of East Baton Rouge Parish on December 8, 2018. The tax became effective on April 1, 2019 and will continue for 30 years until March 31, 2049. As of January 8, 2026, this project is in final design.
