Wax Road is a three-lane corridor until just before the bridge crossing Beaver Bayou where it then becomes a two-lane roadway. The corridor is generally bordered by undeveloped land. The planned improvements include a four-lane boulevard with sidewalks on each side of the roadway and a closed drainage system. As of September 19, 2025, this project is still in the planning phase and is further down the prioritization list. A design firm has not yet been chosen. The letting is anticipated for 2029.
