Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Mt Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
This project involves the installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection; widening of Bower Hill Road for an auxiliary right turn lane, including, but not limited to excavation and removal of earthwork material; relocation and adjustment of existing utilities; sidewalk construction; updating associated pedestrian facilities; site restoration; and site protection, complete in place. Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope that is clearly marked on the outside with the appropriate wording Washington Road and Bower Hill Road Traffic Signal and Roadway Improvements. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidders Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Municipality of Mt. Lebanon in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Commission of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania reserves the right to waive any bid informalities or to reject any or all bids. If more time is necessary for the determination of the lowest responsible bidder, the Commission of Mt. Lebanon reserves the right to award the Contract later but not exceeding sixty (60) days from the date Bids were submitted. Such date will be publicly announced immediately after the bids are opened. Pennsylvania Prevailing wage rates will be required on the Contract.
