Renovation of a municipal facility in Charleston, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The approximate quantities of work to be bid upon are described as follows: Slack Plaza Renovations Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, fees, bonds, taxes and insurance to complete the plaza renovations turnkey as designed in the construction documents. Renovations will include installation of pavers, concrete paving, performance stage canopy, screen walls, live walls, ADA ramps, stairs, retaining walls, splash pad, site lighting, site furnishings, landscaping, public sculpture bases, utility work, grading, and renovation of the existing police building to include public restrooms. The Work will be substantially completed within 160 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run, and completed and ready for final payment within 190 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated damages shall be $500.00 per day. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to City of Charleston in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with WV Code 21-1D-5. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. The City of Charleston reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
