Site work and new construction of a clubhouse / community center in Orleans, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a clubhouse / community center.
The Orleans Town Administrator, the Awarding Authority, seeks submissions from qualified Designers, as defined in Chapter 7, Sections 44-58 of the General Laws of Massachusetts, to perform a feasibility study for development of a Community Center to serve the residents of Orleans. The goal of the study is to address the programming, facility, and land needs for a future community center. The Town currently has several facilities at which community-type activities occur, including the Council on Aging, Old Firehouse Community Building, and Orleans/Nauset public schools. The qualified Designer’s current task will be to work with the Community Center Feasibility Task Force to complete a study of a future new community center. The study will also include a feasibility level opinion of costs for design fees, owner’s project management fees, and construction improvements. It is the intent of the Awarding Authority to engage a qualified Designer utilizing the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Contract for STUDY, FINAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES as a basis for executing the study. It is also the intent of the Awarding Authority, contingent on the completion of a successful study, to continue with the same Designer for the subsequent design and construction oversight services. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
