Site work for a water / sewer project in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of 05/25/2021 This project has not yet been awarded. The Georgetown County Parks & Recreation Department is seeking sealed bids for the repair & replacement of various wood decking, guardrails, and metal hardware and connectors for Group 2 phases of the marshwalk.. The drawings posted include Group 1 and Group 2 repairs. The work under this contract is for Group 2 repairs only and may be awarded to more than one contractor at the discretion of the County. Group 2 repairs for the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk include Phases 1E, 3A, 3B, 3C and 4A. Phases 3A, 3C and 4A are wood boardwalks (WBOW) that are approximately 15 years old. Damage to the timber decking and guard rails (moisture damage, deterioration, checking, splitting) will require full removal and replacement of the materials. Most of the framing components observed (joists, pile caps, posts and piles) appear to be in good condition and will only be required if identified after the decking is removed. Galvanized bolts and connectors in Phases 3A and 3C are in various states of corrosion and will be removed and replaced on an "as-needed" basis. All joist connectors in Phases 3C and 4A will be replaced with new stainless steel connectors. All galvanized bolts in Phase 4A require removal and replacement.
