The City is seeking professional services for various Sewer Utility Projects. Firms with experience providing utilities engineering and design services, including part or all but not limited to the following capabilities: preliminary engineering and plans, specifications, estimates, alternative evaluation, development of a preferred alternative, environmental planning/documentation, right of way/easement/permit acquisition services, community involvement, geotechnical engineering, traffic studies, traffic control plan, surveying, bid process support, engineering/management support during construction and other related tasks. The firm(s) hired will be providing Professional services for the following utilities projects to be completed during two to three year-period. The city reserves the right to assign all the projects to one firm or a combination of firms depending on the qualifications received. Projects to be executed are listed below:
Project #1: South-West Vicinity of 196th St SW and 50th Ave W Intersection Sewer Main Capacity Improvements
Project #2: Sanitary Sewer Lift Station #14
Project #3: Fiber optics conduit installation along the 76th Ave W, between 175th St SW and Bertola Road. Fiber optics conduit installation along the 76th Ave W, between Olympic View Dr and across street of house at 18218 76th Ave W. Summary Budget Information: The total amount contracted for these projects are estimated to be, Project #1: South-West Vicinity of 196th St SW and 50th Ave W Intersection Sewer Main Capacity Improvements: $75,000
Project #2: Sanitary Sewer Lift Station #14: $150,000
Project #3: Fiber optics conduit installation on 76th Ave: $40,000 These Projects will be funded through the Citys 412 Fund (Utilities). Submittals: Submittals shall include clearly identified sections and addressing the following areas: 1) A summary of the project team members, 2) resume of principle-in-charge and project manager, and/or key stuff members, 3) work history, 4) lesson learned by the firm/team regarding similar projects with similar sized public agencies, 5) brief discussion of firms/teams approach to project management to include, but not limited to, Q/A, cost controls, scope change, schedule management, communicating, managing sub consultants, etc. All submittals shall be in electronic PDF file format and attached to an email with the email clearly titled Qualifications to Provide Utility Professional Services. The submittal shall include a one page cover sheet, and up to 15 pages of qualification information for a maximum total of 17 pages. The selection process will include both a SOQ review process and an interview process for short-listed firms. SOQs will take between 2-3 weeks for the City to review. All firms submitting proposals will be contacted as to the status of their SOQ once short-listed firms have been selected. Interviews will be scheduled over the following 1-2 weeks with short-listed firms. The City of Lynnwood will select the best qualified consultant from those interviewed. Selected firms for interviews will be evaluated based on the following criteria: 1-Firms qualifications and experience 2-Experience with similar services The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
