Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 270,000-square-foot, four-story above grade, 60-bed elderly care / assisted living facility; medical facility; educational facility; and clubhouse / community center.
Construction of a new health centre; a 60-bed long-term care facility, and a regional laundry facility. Scope of work also includes a new high school for grades 6-12 with multiple gymnasiums and a new theatre. Scope will also include a new outdoor sports field. The artificial soccer field, tennis courts and washroom/storage buildings on the Breton Education Centre site will be relocated to MacKinnon Field. TIMELINE: Construction is underway. *Prime consultant is Architecture49. A contact at the architect and the consulting engineers will not be released for publication. *Original budget $125 million. *Construction Management Contract Value was approx. $20 million.
